Earlier this week, I released a poll asking you guys to vote on who you all would think win the democratic primaries, and lo and behold, Bernie Sanders won! Well, won the polling results. 72% of you all think that Sanders would beat his constituents out of the Democratic primary ticket, and I asked some of you all to give me your reasons!
One of my readers voted for Bernie on my poll and had this to say, "Bernie Sanders is the most promising candidate to me because he seems to be the most genuine. I mean you have Biden who has multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against women, Kamala Harris dropped out of the race, but she pandered for the young vote and it seemed extremely fake, and Elizabeth Warren and her Cherokee heritage, just something about how she uses that to include her in certain conversations rubs me the wrong way. With Bernie, I feel confident in saying that he has the next generation's (us) intentions at heart, fixing what our ancestors broke, i.e. the economy.
My other reader is a strong advocate for Elizabeth Warren for this reason, "Elizabeth Warren has to be one of the most unproblematic candidates we have had in a long time. She has no scandals or allegations or anything against her, and that's one of the most important things when looking for a new president, and she has none. Of course Bernie doesn't have any, but looking at Biden, his scandals overshadow his own redeeming qualities."
Another one of my readers voted for Biden, and his reasoning was this, "Of course, Joe Biden has his past of sexual misconduct allegations. These allegations are definitely something you should not ignore, but it is something he has apologized numerous times for so, I still believe if we get him into office, with his experience of being vice president and working alongside Barack Obama, one of our most legendary presidents, he will know the ins and outs of government better than his other two opponents."
If you want to throw in your vote and the poll has ended, don't fret! You can vote for your candidate and give your own reasoning in the comment section below!
